Meka Heavy Engineering is a strategic arm of the Meka Group, dedicated to high-capacity fabrication, shipbuilding, and offshore infrastructure development. Aligned with India’s growing demands in the marine, ports, and oil & gas sectors, Meka Heavy Engineering is set to address the capacity shortage in small vessel and offshore platform construction. To meet both internal project requirements and expanding national demand, Meka is developing a state-of-the-art shipyard and fabrication hub:

• Phase 1- of the shipyard is being developed on intertidal land, covering 4 hectares (160 m x 250 m = 40,000 sq.m). The shipyard design consultancy has already been awarded to IIT Madras, ensuring cutting-edge planning and execution standards.
• Phase 2 - will expand the footprint by an additional 5 hectares, dedicated to oil & gas module fabrication and windmill structures for offshore energy projects.

To support the full life cycle of offshore infrastructure, Meka Heavy Engineering has submitted:

• A request for 360 meters of waterfront access to facilitate ship launching and module transportation.
• A request for 9 hectares of reclaimed land under the regional land development policy for future expansion.
